Protecting journalists from live bullets and penetrating objects.
Concerned with the security of the journalist upcountry, UJK lends bulletproof vests and helmets to journalists covering dangerous areas. Donated by the Freedom House under USAID/Uganda Rights & Rule of Law, these bulletproof vests and helmets can be borrowed subject to some conditions.
Journalists borrowing any of these items must fill out a form specifying where they are going, providing their contact details and providing the contact details of the person who should be notified if necessary.
