KASESE. Twelve youth groups in Kasese Municipality on Wednesday received a cheque of eighty one million shillings under the youth livelihood fund programme with a call on the beneficiaries to put the money to good use.
Presiding over the function, the Kasese District Deputy RDC, Mr. Aminadabu Muhindo argued the beneficiaries to stick to their original plans so as by the time of paying back the money; the groups should have had substantial capital to enable their investments run.
Speaking to ujk reporter, the Nyamwamba and Central division chairpersons in Kasese municipality, Mr. Kisuki Saidi and central division Mr. Safari Martin did not only ask the beneficiaries to treat the money as any other loan but also warned them from politicizing the funding.
Some beneficiaries including Mr. Mathias Kirimunda had all to praise the government for the funds that they were optimistic would in future improve their incomes for better living conditions.
In the first phase, fifteen youth groups received ninety five million shillings and fifty seven million to eleven groups in the second phase.
