Two arrested in Kasese for kidnapping a 6 year pupil

Police in Kasese has arrested two women for allegedly kidnapping a six year old pupil at Margarita Demonstration School in Kasese town who went missing on Thursday last week.

The two were arrested on Monday, 18th at around 3am from silver springs bar and lodge in Kasese town where they have been hiding since Thursday when they disappeared with the young girl.

Working on intelligence reports from the locals, police landed on Semeritah kabugho 24 with the missing child Jackline Kyomuhendo.

Also arrested is Neveketty Kyakimwa 19 years who is said to have kidnapped the child and later handed her to kabugho.

Dickson Okello the DPC Kasese central police confirmed their arrest and said the child has been given back to her parents for hospital check up.

The father to the child, Jackson Ndibalema said it took them five days of sleepless nights in search for their daughter and was grateful to God and police for the help rendered to them to retrieve Kyomuhendo. End
