OBR Chief Prince is committed to break the chain of Rwenzori violence

KASESE. The State minister for agriculture who is also the chief prince of Rwenzururu kingdom Hon. Christopher Kibanzanga has said he is committed to break the cycle of violence in the area.

Hon. Kibanzanga who was the chief guest on Sunday was addressing the Banyarwenzururu who turned up to witness the launch of the Peaceful song titled “KOKO” at a function organized by “Esyomango Syobusinga-Bwarwenzururu” under the theme: “making a new journey to restore peacein Rwenzori region”.

The Member of Parliament for Busongora south constituency Hon. Mbaju Jackson Kathika observed that peace can only be restored in Kasesedistrict if all politicians spearheaded the peace process.

The Rwenzururu Kingdom Queen Mother Mrs. Christine Mukirania told acrowd that when late Nyamutswa died he said the remaining struggle should be executed by use of a pen and a book.

The Kasese district FDC chairperson Mr. Saulo Maate advised people to take peaceful message from the function and warned those who had come with a negative attitude other than peace building.

The function attracted various leaders including the General Secretaryfor inter-religious council of Kasese district Rev. Fr. ExpeditoMasereka, the executive director FURA Mr. Reuben Mbauta and NRM Flag bearer for Kasese Municipality MP papa Kambale Ferigo among others.END.
