Kasese municipal council announces new guidelines on town center buildings

Kasese municipal council has announced new regulations to all investors intending to construct buildings on major streets in Kasese town as part of the being developed master plan for Kasese municipality.

According to the mayor for Kasese Municipality His Worship Godfrey Kabyanga, no more building below two flats and more than five flats will be allowed to be constructed on Margarita Street, Stanley, Alexander, Speke streets, Rwenzori road and henry Bwambale road.

He revealed to our reporter that the municipal physical planning department is developing a master plan to be approved by council before supplied to individual investors and companies interested in investing in Kasese.

Kabyanga added that the municipal vision of a well planned clean, green and poverty free municipality is gradually registering success with the loitering animals no longer in the town center, timely garbage disposal and routine road maintenance. END
