Authorities in Congo are stuck with a dead Ugandan killed in the ongoing instability in Beni, UJK has learnt.


Brain kamugisha of kibito Sub County in Bunyagabu County, Kabarole district was killed by a mob after suspecting him of being among the rebels killing human beings in Congo.


The reported mob was suspicious after discovering a sharp panga, knife, fried groundnuts, a blanket and paraffin among other items that made residents zero on him as a militia supporting the ongoing killings in Congo.


Augustine Masereka one of the local leaders in the restless area told UJK reporter in a telephone interview this morning that a lot of prayers are needed for Beni as innocent lives continue to be killed live using knives, hammers, spears and axes.


Masereka who is a local council one chairman for Kasanga village in Busongora Sub County in Beni district reported that about three thousand people have been killed in the Congo for the last six months in Beni alone.


Julius Kambale who claimed to have been at the scene of crime told our reporter that the deceased possessed documents indicating him as a student at central high school-Kabale in Uganda.


By press time, our reporter could not independently verify the death reports with the mpondwe lhubiriha border police as the officers there referred us to the immigration department.


At the immigration office of Mpondwe-lhubiriha border, there were no records about the deceased.  An official at the immigration office who spoke to our reporter on condition of anonymity due to the weight of the matter however told our reporter that they only had rumors about the incident. END
